Can You Handle the Truth? || John 8:32 || Mid-Week Midrash #25

“Then you will know the truth. And the truth will make you free.”
-John 8:32

Freedom sounds nice, doesn’t it? It feels incredible to not feel tied down to anything holding you back. You’re not withholding anything when you are free. You’re able to reach out in different directions with any restraints. When we’re not being truthful to each other, we hold on to a lie. Those lies can restrict us with the stories we have to create, acts we have to put up, and emotions we have to fake. Telling the truth will free us from all of that. Is it hard to tell the truth? Sometimes. Should we tell the truth regardless? Yes! Knowing the truth can set us free from the control and the thoughts that can hold us hostage.
