Happy Easter to each one of you! I pray that you can safely and healthily celebrate this joyous day with your loved ones! Christ the Lord has risen today, am I right? Today, we are going to talk about the star of the show. We’re talking about the Almighty One, the Great One, the One who Heals, the Resurrected One, the One who feeds the hungry, the one Shepherd, the one Mediator, and more titles for the One. Have you figured out what number we’re ending our “Numbers of Lent” series? Let’s dive into “the number one.”
The number 1 symbolizes unity and priority. In Acts 4, Peter notes that through only Jesus, we receive salvation and eternal life. In Acts 4:12, Peter says that “Jesus is the only one who can save people. His name is the ONLY POWER that has gets given to save anyone. We get saved through him!” There’s explicitness that shows the power that Jesus has.
We’ve just been through a rough week as Christian. We’ve Jesus tortured, bullied, and crucified, but He is the ONE who overcame it all. He makes a ONE-time sacrifice to rescue us from our sin. It took this ONE act, from this ONE human, during this ONE time of year to show us the strength of our ONE genuine relationship with Christ. We started this journey off by discussing the journey of Lent and what that means to us. I pray that this journey that been a chance to strengthen this ONE relationship in your life. I pray that this Lenten season has been one that has grown your ONE view of Christ. I want to wrap this message with this sentiment.
Jesus had a concise message for the world. It’s a message of LOVE. His ONE sacrifice served ONE purpose for every ONE of us. May the LOVE of Jesus take you past this Lenten Season into the rest of your life. I’ll be back next week for a brand-new series that we dive into the after-Easter credits.
