Today’s song is “Are You Ready” by Blanca. This song was released as a single on January 31, 2025. 

I was unable to find any articles done with Blanca that describe the meaning of the song, so let’s jump into some of my favorite verses.

I’m removing all the baggage all the mess

And I’m lifting all this weight off of my chest.

This right here. This hits way too close to home right now. I’ve been carrying a lot of baggage with my health issues, career stress, and general life stress. It’s been hard to release everything to God because of how heavy it’s been on me. I’ve worked to release this in various ways, but have yet to find something close that does it effectively. At least, not without making massive sacrifices about what life could look like. I’m close. I’m almost there, but haven’t hit the right nudge. I trust that God will let his justice be served, when he decides it’s time. Until then, I need to allow him to work in the way he needs to. I want to act. I want to lash out. I want to make the emotional decision. But no luck. Satan is working loud in my head anymore, but I’m thankful that I serve a God who works greater than anything. His words have given life. His strength has carried me forward into the fire. His wisdom has kept my mouth shut when I wanted to snap. I will be doing the best I can, with everything that God has gifted me, and leave the results up to him. If it costs me certain things, so be it. I’d rather walk with him, than kill my soul at the benefit of the world.
