God’s Discerning Plans || 1 John 5:14 || Mid-Week Midrash #17

1 John 5:14 – We can come to God with no doubts. This means that when we ask God for things (and those things agree with what God wants for us), then God cares about what we say.

This is such a blessing for us. The ability to go to God with anything and everything on our minds and hearts is incredible. We don’t have to feel judged. We don’t have to feel pressured. We don’t have to feel perfect. We come to God as we are. When we ask God for different things, two responses are listed here. And it’s not just a yes or no. If what we ask for is part of God’s plan and what God wants for us, then cool. If what we are asking for isn’t, we now have discerned what God wants for us and what He doesn’t. This feels like a win-win for me, and it should be for you.
