The Ultimate Protector || Proverbs 30:5 (Part 2) || Mid-Week Midrash #35

MWM 35

“Every word of God is flawless; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.” – Proverbs 30:5

God is a shield to those who take refuge in him. God protects us. Simple, but look at the second half of this sentence. “…to those who take refuge in him.” Those who want to seek God’s protection will find safety and security in him. He gives it to all of us, believers or not, but those who seek that will receive protection with God’s safety and security. I’m not that non-believers are on their own because there are many ways non-believers protect themselves from danger, but hear me on this. This sentence out of Proverbs adds a layer of action. It encourages us that when we feel like we’re in danger or trouble, we can seek God out, and he will protect us from all of it. That’s what I want you to walk away with today.
