Learn to Love || Romans 12:10 (Part 1) || Mid-Week Midrash #41

MWM 41

10 Love each other like brothers and sisters. Give your brothers and sisters more honor than you want for yourselves.

Verses like these I struggle with understanding. I’ll get to that in a second. We should love each other like family. Now I know standard family dynamics are few and far between each person. More and more people struggle with their family relationships, or there are strains with different family members that cause chaos to the entire family unit. It may be hard to recognize the “proper” way to love someone like a brother and sister. My simple answer is this: Love each other like you deeply care about that person. Love each other like you would want to be loved yourself. It will be tough to do this, especially if you’re not familiar with it. I mentioned earlier that we should love each other the way you want to be loved yourself. Set the tone for others to love. You will most likely see this love in return. God has given this type of love to you at the very least.
