Praise Away the Fear || Psalm 56:4 || Mid-Week Midrash #48

I praise God for his word. I trust God. So I am not afraid. What can human beings do to me?

Praise God for his word. The Bible is full of great information and great pieces of wisdom to apply to our life. It teaches us how we should act, how we should take care of ourselves, and how we should take care of others. It sets a foundation for our lives. We can trust what God says to us about how we should be and act. With God on our side, who can be against us, right? I’m in super agreement with this verse until this last part. What can human beings do to me? I can think of plenty of things they can do to me: some good and some not. We still need to respect human boundaries above everything. I get the mentality of God being on your side and feeling invincible. However, we still need to respect the boundaries of others.
