Safety in God || Psalm 91:1 || Mid-Week Midrash #55

MWM 55

“Those who go to God Most High for safety will be protected by God All-Powerful.” – Psalm 91:1

God provides a high level of protection from the evil forces of the world. Simply put, God says that no threat can ever overpower God himself. Psalm 91 is powerful. It talks about God’s ongoing powerful protection of his people from the ever-present dangers of the world. The dangers refer to the mental and spiritual issues that plague humanity. The dangers mentioned in this psalm are vague, but the authors most likely did that intentionally. It’s a way for people back in the day and us today to connect and learn that there is nothing that can harm God’s child. This psalm doesn’t say that God allows bad things to happen to us because our God is a loving God who doesn’t want us to suffer. Most things that happen to us are the cause of our actions or just unfortunate luck, but we can find protection in God. We can run to him anytime and spill the contents of our hearts. He can guide our thoughts, share his wisdom, and help us along the path of our lives to overcome the hardships we encounter. I encourage you to read Psalm 91 because there are many nuggets of wisdom to place in your heart.

Now I say finale because it’s the end of the year. Each year, this blog has introduced me to new ways of sharing God’s word with you guys. From writing my own personal series, to more Bible Study-esque series, to reflections, quick messages, and music reviews. I’m not sure what 2023 will bring for this site. I will have a lot of these reflections queued up if God says to include these. If not, that’s okay. I have a couple personal series I wrote for my Youth Group that will be published in 2023. The “Moments with Marc” series will continue after these series finish. Who knows what God will have in store for us, but know that I will be here to continue sharing God’s ministry and God’s word with all of you. Thank you for still checking out this blog after three years of Bible Study (which is mind-blowing). See you next year! (Well…we have one more blog for new year’s, but you know what I mean.) Stay blessed!
