“Trust” by 7eventh Time Down || Worship With Me #34

Track 34

Welcome back to my latest music review series, “Worship with Me.” This series introduces you to new worship music that you might have heard before. I aim to connect with you through worship and build your relationship with God in ways you might not have tried.

Today’s song is ‘Trust’ by 7eventh Time Down. 7eventh Time Down is one of the bands I discovered through Christian Music playlists on Spotify. The first song I heard from them was ‘God Is on the Move,’ and I was immediately drawn to their energy and message. This led me to explore more of their music, and I found a variety of uplifting songs. Their music is full, positive, and praiseworthy, no matter the time of day or the season I’m in. Songs like ‘The 99,’ ‘Trust,’ and ‘Help Me’ have a unique blend of calmness and upbeat sound, offering a fuller melody and rhythm with catchy lyrics.

While I couldn’t find any articles or interviews from 7eventh Time Down to explain the reasoning and message of the song, I felt a personal connection to its theme of trust in God. The song reminds us to remember his promises taught to us through Jesus and his Word, especially when we get lost in the world’s energy. The voices of the world can often take a more significant place in our hearts than God’s because of how loud it gets. But God has the final say, and his ways are more significant than anything the world can do for us.

You told me to love

Somebody like I love myself

You call me to do these

Things with You I won’t fail

I can do the impossible,

Reach the unreachable

You provide miracles everyday

I surrender it all there’s

Power in Your name

We are called to love others as ourselves. This is the second greatest commandment that Jesus taught. Loving God with all our heart, mind, soul, and strength. Sometimes, loving our neighbor feels crazy difficult. Some of us would rather go to the dentist for a root canal than love those who don’t like us, and we don’t like. Jesus calls us to love our enemies. Through God, we can do that. We can do the impossible. We can reach the hearts of those who feel unreachable. How? We share the goodness of God in our lives. We prepare our testimony to be shared about how God has changed our lives. God does great things every day. Even when we don’t see it or don’t see the results from it, God does miracles for us every day. All we can do is thank God for everything. When we celebrate the highs, we must lift up the lows and surrender them to God because, through his power, good can be found. If we recognize the good and have gratitude for what we have through God, then he can transform those lows we feel to be our newest joys and blessings.

I won’t deny the grace

You have for me

Oh, Jesus your love

Is sweet it sets me free

Nothing’s impossible,

Love is unstoppable

I’m seeing miracles everyday

I surrender it all there’s

Power in your name

Your might name.

God’s grace is the crazy kind of love he has for us. It’s gifted to us daily, and there’s nothing we need to do to receive it. There’s nothing we can do to lose it. The thing we don’t do is acknowledge it. We get stuck in our sins and our past and believe it will be our life and identity forever. However, God’s grace sets us free. God’s mercy forgives us for everything that we’ve done and we’ve used to beat ourselves up, talk ourselves down, and verbally abuse ourselves. The labels that others give us are based on what they see. God’s labels are based on who he created us to be. His love that is gifted to us is unstoppable.

The essence of this song is trust in God, a message I hope resonates with you. Your engagement and support for this review series are invaluable. As mentioned last week, if all parts of this series total over 200 views, then I’ll continue it. If not, then there will be just a Christmas resurgence of it. Your views and feedback matter, so let’s make this series a success together. Until then, stay blessed.
