Promised by God || Isaiah 25:1 || Manna for the Mind #183

Isaiah 25:1

NASBNLTVOICE
1 Lord, You are my God; I will exalt You, I will give thanks to Your name; For You have worked wonders, Plans formed long ago with perfect faithfulness.1 O Lord, I will honor and praise your name, for you are my God. You do such wonderful things! You planned them long ago, and now you have accomplished them.1 Eternal One, You are my God. I will lift You up and praise Your name. Because You have made wonders marvelous and beautiful – the most ancient designs holding strong and sure.

Isaiah honored and praise God because he realized that God completes his plans as promised. This promise also stretches to us. God answers our prayers. Granted, they may not be in the same way we hoped for. God’s answer for us is one that aligns with the plan he set for us when we were created. Yet, his answers will set us up for long-term success, blessing, and greatness in his name. When you sit back and reflect on the prayers you’ve said and how God’s response was, you will find moments of his greatness and faithfulness.

Ephesians 1:11

NASBNLTVOICE
11 In Him we also have obtained an inheritance, having be predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things in accordance with the plan of His will,11 Furthermore, because we are united with Christ, we have received an inheritance from God, for he chose us in advance, and he makes everything work out according to his plan.11 we stand to inherit even more. As his heirs, we are predestined to play a key role in His unfolding purpose that is energizing everything to conform to His will.

God has a purpose and a plan. He planned to bring salvation to the entire world long ago. We find that salvation through his son, and the sacrifice Jesus made on the cross. It wasn’t the ideal, but it was a part of the plan. Jesus would turn into the perfect sacrifice that atones humanity of their sin and allows a right relationship with God and a place in the Kingdom of God.

When your life feels chaotic, rest in the truth that the Bible teaches us: Jesus is our Savior and God is in control of the world. God’s plan of salvation cannot be stopped. When we are committed to following Christ as our Lord and Savior, we will be met with temptations to stop and turn over to the ways of the world, but Satan’s evil cannot overcome God’s power and purpose.
