Job 19:25

25 Yet as for me, I know that my Redeemer lives, And at the last, He will take His stand on the earth.	25 “But as for me, I know that my Redeemer lives, and he will stand upon the earth at least.	25 “Besides, I know my Redeemer lives, and in the end He will rise and take His stand on the earth.

Job has been struggling with immense disease, loss, and grief. His friends, trying to be there for him and to offer advice, have been trying to just get Job to admit he sinned somewhere. There beliefs were that sinning in any capacity would result in punishments from God. The thing was Job didn’t sin. He was actually the subject of a test between God and Satan. Satan’s goal is to cause God’s most dedicated followers to defect to Satan’s side and rebel against God. The goal was to cause Satan the immense disease and loss but not kill him to see if he would defect. Spoiler alert: he did not.

Job has still been strong through all of his struggle. He knows that there is a Savior out there that exists. His savior did not create the struggle that Job was going to but also believes that God is the one who is keeping him alive. He knows God is of love, grace, and mercy. God knows that the forgiveness will occur and that he will be able to walk among the same ground as his Savior. God will survive all the evils of the world, and even when his earthly self has passed, they will walk together in the Kingdom of Heaven. Nothing that Job experiences right now will matter at that point. The emotions and relief of the overwhelming presence of his Savior, Healer, and God will make all the suffering worth it.

What do we take away from this? No matter the struggles we face in the world today, we know that our Savior is with us all the time. God does not create the evil that happens, for those things are from Satan and Satan is managed by God. Satan wants to rebel against God and will take any extreme measures to do so. We are on the right side of the battle. We stay committed to God no matter the evil. We know that God will give us the strength we need to overcome, and we will have the faith in him to make sure this occurs.
