Patience and Encouragement || Romans 15:5-6 || Manna for the Mind #214

Romans 15:5-6

NASBNLTVOICE
5 Now may the God who gives perseverance and encouragement grant you to be the same mind with one another, according to Christ Jesus,5 May God, who gives this patience and encouragement, help you live in complete harmony with each other, as is fitting for followers of Christ Jesus5 I pray that our God, who calls you and gives you perseverance and encouragement, will join all of you together to share one mind according to Jesus the Anointed.
6 so that with one purpose and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus.6 Then all of you can join together with one voice, giving praise and glory to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.6 In this unity, you will share one voice as you glorify the one True God, the Father of our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One, our Liberating King

Patience is always something that we need to have and also never have enough of. The older we get, the less patience we have for things. We have less patience for people, for relationships, for our kids, for our jobs, for our life, and for God. How often do we want to wait for things? Our world has taught us to want everything right now, this minute, and do whatever we need to get it. God wants us to be patient. To be willing to suffer in order to receive the greater good. To be able to wait for people to help, to restore a relationship, to recover, and more. To be able to wait for our job to get a raise or a promotion. We must wait in order to receive God’s blessing, for our lives are dedicated to his timing.

Encouragement is something that we need and also never receive enough of. We are constantly searching for the latest bit of motivation and encouragement to do the different things necessary to make it through life. Our words and our relationships have the ability to kill a person’s dreams or make them the best version of themselves. How we use it is up to us. God has given us the ability to lift people up, and the Holy Spirit is within us to use to its potential, but we can ignore that. We can focus on ourselves and knock down any person that’s in our path.
