Hebrews 4:12 – God’s word is alive and working. It is sharper than a sword sharpened on both sides. It cuts all the way into us, where the soul and the spirit are joined. It cuts to the center of our joints and our bones. And God’s word judges the thoughts and feelings.
We need to remember that the word that comes from God is active in all parts of our lives. God’s word cuts through us, hitting our soul and spirit. The soul represents the human part of us, and the spirit represents God being with us. Word of God cuts down to that part that shows us the difference between the earthly ways and the Godly ways. It cuts so deep down into us that it should cause a reaction to who we are physically. While it physically hits us, we see that God’s word judges our thoughts and feelings. May you feel God’s presence as you read your Bible. Amen.
