New Purpose, New You || Romans 10:10 || Mid-Week Midrash #9

MWM 9

Scripture – Romans 10:10

You’re not “doing anything; you’re simply calling out to God, trusting him to do it for you. That’s salvation. With your whole being you embrace God setting things right, and then you say it, right out loud: “God has set everything right between him and me!”

Midrash

This is part two from our midrash last week when we talked about Salvation. We don’t have to do anything to accept the love of God. We call out to God that we believe in him, and God takes care of the rest. Our thoughts, words, and actions embrace God setting things right. We remove the old self (the self that was based out on the principles of the world) and live through the new self (the self that God is creating). We walk through this process as a new person with a new purpose for God to use us. This new journey is arduous, can be discouraged, and is worth it all through the end. May you reflect on Salvation as we transition into the new year.
