Waiting For God’s Response || Psalm 130:5 || Mid-Week Midrash #27

“I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in his word my whole being waits.”
-Psalm 130:5

A lot people have been waiting for Jesus’ return here on Earth. It’s been like that since shortly after Jesus went back to Heaven before Pentecost in Acts 2. It’s okay to wait and be patient for something to happen, but what if we acted while we waited. Hear me out! Part of the Lord’s prayer is: “Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done. On Earth as it is in heaven.” What if instead of sitting around and waited for Jesus return, we do what Jesus told us to via the Great Commission and the Golden Rule. We share Jesus love, grace, and mercy with the world as we wait for him to return. He only know when that will be, so might as well do something useful in the meantime. Amen.
